On average 10% of air conditioning refrigerant gas escapes from the system each year. The result is reduced cooling efficiency, warmer air and increased fuel consumption.
At Brookfield Motors we can replenish your refrigerant gas and fully service your system, including the replacement of filters which over time will begin to harbour foul-smelling and potentially harmful bacteria. The result should be an appreciably cooler airflow and reduced odour from the system.
Most manufacturers recommend running your air conditioning system for at least ten minutes once per week all year round to keep the system lubricated and working efficiently.
Many people assume that air conditioning is only useful in the summer months, but in fact, air-con systems produce a ready supply of dry, warm air that is ideal for demisting the windows during cold and wet weather too.
